About Us

Since the 80s, the ancient Indian discipline of yoga has been taking the western world by storm. Existing in many forms today, the controversies, complexities and communities that surround modern yoga are excellently reflected in the blogosphere.

Dangerously Fit Boot Camp

The still growing fitness consciousness among people now has brought about a variety of other ways and programs of fitness training. Dangerously Fit Boot camp offers a well-designed fitness program, which consists of fun-filled, energy packed exercise routines. Though boot camps are normally mistaken to be unrelenting and vigorous military training, Dangerously Fit Bootcamp takes a lighter yet effective approach to fitness training, which insists on discipline as well.

Dancing all the Way to Fitness or Dangerously Fit boot camp?

Another most sought after fitness training program is dancing, which has also proved to be effective in the long run. What makes dancing a rather favorite alternative is that it makes ‘exercising’ leisurely and enjoyable. People with a thing for dancing, music and art as a whole find this easy and soothing enough. You will definitely burn calories and lose a bit of fat as well, if your intake is less than what you are burning, but no matter how hard you dance, or how many hours you dance at a stretch, it simply doesn’t match the productivity of boot camp workouts. Dangerously Fit Boot Camps will prove to be as enjoyable as and much more fruitful than dance routines.

Why Boot Camps over Dancing?

The purpose of dancing is never weight loss alone. Dance enthusiasts make dancing their exercise regime only because it fills them with the gratifying feeling of doing what they love doing, and weight loss is just a by-product. Moreover, once your body gets accustomed to the various moves, it no longer finds them hard, and ends up taking pleasure in working out.

Boot camps with a good personal trainer work far better than dancing when it comes to weight loss and toning, since physiology and exercise science form their basis. Since they are particularly aimed at promoting weight loss and not improving dance movements, you are bound to achieve your goal faster. At Dangerously Fit Boot camps, routines are specially designed to help you feel the strain but it certainly doesn’t make it less enjoyable. Remember, no pain, no gain!

Invest In Your Website Design and then think Low Cost Fitness Marketing Ideas

Running a personal training business is very demanding. It is like a one-man show as you are in charge of everything – right from working with your clients, to handling the financial transactions, as well as marketing your business and having an awesome website design to bring on more clients. It can not only get tiring but also pinch your pocket as you have to plan carefully about every expense. So, if you are on a tight budget, then it will compromise on your fitness marketing strategy.

Alternatively, once you have invested in your website design you must also think of a few low cost fitness marketing ideas so that you are able to promote your business without spending much, then here are few tips.

Low cost marketing ideas

Send press releases

Remember, since you are the start of your company, you have to constantly promote yourself. Write press releases and send it across the local and community newspapers. A press release is an effective way to reach out a lot of people in one go.

The icing on top would be if you are working with a local celebrity or an eminent personality. All you have to do is ask the celebrity or eminent personality to endorse your work in the press release. When a famous person recognises your work, then you are an instant hit and your demand increases around your area.

Flyer campaigns every month

It is so easy for people to forget your existence if you do not actively keep reminding them of your personal training business. As part of the fitness marketing strategy, flyer campaigns work really well. Write your content clearly and make sure your address is mentioned in bold. In addition, go for colours that are attractive. Yellow and black is a great combination and works every time to grab future customer’s attention.

Get involved with your community

If your community is organising a marathon, then you can always volunteer and organise a booth. Since you are a personal trainer by profession, you can conduct workshops on what needs to be done to sustain your energy during a marathon. Keep the workshops free so that there are more and more members who can attend it. In the end, it is a win-win situation, as you are getting a strong exposure. In addition, when your suggested tips for the marathon work, you will earn more clients as they would start believing in your potential as a personal trainer.

Social media

Remember, there is nothing like spreading the message through social media. Create a page with your business name on Facebook and create a handle with the same on twitter. You can give out daily health tips, post videos of your workouts, post videos of your client’s testimonials. It will generate interest and create a buzz about your business on social media. Reach out to as many people asking them to like your page or follow you.

Keep your business card all the time

Business cards are your instant promotion cards. If you get introduced to anybody, just hand over your card and talk a little bit about your personal training business. In this way, you will attract a lot of young enthusiasts who want to focus on their health and fitness.

What you should know about Yoga

Doing yoga is not like many other sports. Practicing yoga right will be of many benefits to us, and will help us to build beautiful gesture and shape.

Doing yoga is like making time for ourselves, if you are really hard working through Monday to Friday and taking care of your family or to help your friends when they are in need. Helping others is good. But we have to make sure that we are physically and mentally well first. We don’t want to be lost or just put ourselves into a worse condition by helping others, do we? Making a time for ourselves, take a good rest and relax is the one thing we cannot forget.

A starter should better attend a yoga class. There will be professional teachers that can correct your postures and get some more ideas for your practice at home by yourselves.

If you don’t want to attend the classes, you can also buy the DVDs or yoga flash cards to provide you with and organized routine. But I still recommend that you’d better learn from a well-qualified, capable instructor.

And there are other things you should take care of if you want to practice yoga correctly. First and formost , you have to practice yoga in good enough physical condition. Don’t practice yoga while you feel very tired or even exhausted.

Find a suitable place to practice yoga. If you are attending a yoga class, make sure that the surroundings are comfortable and promote relaxation. If you practice at home, you need a quiet, open space to spread your mat. The environment in which you practice yoga poses and positions can find a great impact on the effectiveness of each session.

Practice regularly. If you want to get the best results, you have to practice regularly. Choose the time that no one will distract you. Then follow a regular routine. That¡¯s another reason why I recommend taking a yoga class. The classes are mostly set up in a regular schedule.

Wear light and comfortable clothes, but do not wear too much loose clothes such as large T-shirts, because these kinds of clothes will interfere with some poses. And the materials of clothing for yoga should be breathable and wick moisture away from the skin as you perspire.

Practice on hardwood floors, and it’s a good idea to have a yoga mat. The softer the surface, the more likely you are to injure your joints. And using the yoga mat on the hard grounds can help you avoid slipping as you go into and out of each yoga position, and also keep you from having to exercise on the bare floor.

Yoga is not difficult to practice if you start to do it, and finally you will find it become one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.

Rethinking the Rules of Rapid Weight Loss

Are long-held myths making your slimming goals ever-elusive? Then, it’s about time you challenged your rapid weight loss – shed fat faster misconceptions, embraced a new style of thinking and saw, for yourself, the positive changes this new perspective ushers in.

Rules-the old vs. the new

Focus on quantity vs. focus on quality

As a part of the over-weight population, many-a-days you may’ve found yourself dieting or trimming your portion sizes down, only to realise that they’re of no avail.  Why?

That’s because it’s not so much the quantity of calories you consume but their quality that matters when it comes to losing your excessive body weight.  Hence, it’s high time you changed your focus from food quantity to nutritive quality by including, in your meal, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes and nuts on a regular basis.  You should also calculate your daily calorie intake to lose weight.

Fats, a strict no-no vs. Healthy fats, a must-have

Not all fats are bad for your thin-down efforts as has been commonly perceived by many for so long. In fact, there are good fats that help you stay healthy as long as you keep their consumption down to moderate levels.

For example, the omega-3 fats found in nuts and fish (like sardine and salmon) strengthen your nervous system, keep your metabolism in good shape and promote fat-loss.

Further, when you include a small quantity of saturated fat in your meal, you not only displace some of the carbohydrates you would otherwise consume but end up feeling fuller and more satisfied with your meal.

Follow a ‘diet’ vs. Eat varied

Your body needs carbohydrates, fat, proteins, fibre, vitamins, minerals and water for it to function effectively.  However, the so-called ‘diet’ that you follow is often single in its dimensions-high in proteins or low in carbohydrates.   This lack of completeness in your food has serious repercussions on your health ranging from a slowing down of your metabolism to a complete breaking down of it.

Therefore, eating a variety of foods that together give you complete nutrition should be your aim rather than following a lop-sided diet which is but a form of self-imposed starvation that conveniently ignores your body’s nutritional requirements; keeps you hungry and makes you prone to frequent bingeing.

Exercise to lose your extra inches vs. Exercise for a fit body

If you want to fight obesity, make sure that you use your exercise routine to achieve the broader target of improving your fitness for daily life rather to reach the limited target of shedding your extra pounds. You need to realise that the right amount of training improves your strength, stamina and mood making it easier for you to be more active and achieve a slimmer build.

To put things in a nutshell, all you need to do for losing weight is to nourish your body with wholesome foods, exercise right and rest well.  Do this and you’ll find, soon enough, that rapid weight loss isn’t the struggle your erroneous knowledge and faulty approach had made it out to be all along!
